I am also new to Python and have the same struggle, but the more I code, the easier it is remembering the basics. So my advise is, keep coding and it will fell more natural for you.

If you struggle with remembering data types for example, write them down on paper with some examples. This helps me remember stuff

Thanks for the encouragement i might have to go over the course a few times for it to sink in, just brought the complete python mastery course so i can watch the videos a few times for it to sink in.

will take your advice to write things down and hope it helps after all its been 41 years since i left school and sudy behind.

Hahaha I love that, If you want a learning companion, I am here for you, we can get to it together, and help each other. It is better when learning in a team.

I am also struggling…like in the exercise 14, why is “if number % 2 == 0:" Why do we need the zero?

“if number % 2 == 0” essentially checks if the number is divisible by 2. For example, if number = 6, 6 % 2 is 0, because the remainder left over is 0, meaning 6 is divisible by 2.

Thank Josh, so basically it is the remainder, that’s what I was missing.

My suggestions are, after completing a topic, write the code yourself and check the output. If you encounter an error or an incorrect result, try to fix it on your own without re-watching the video, at least 3 to 4 times. If the issue persists, then go back and watch the topic again. Struggling a bit will help you remember the concept better.

You should also post your code snippet in this forum and mention what you learned today. You will receive appreciation or likes, which will help you stay motivated and remember the topic more easily.

Happy coding.
