Full Stack developer

What courses do I need to take from codewithmosh.com to become a Full Stack Developer with React?

Well sir idk what you’ve been told about what is needed to become a Fullstack developer, but it’s most likely outdated information and in my country at least (i’ll speak for the USA only, yours may differ) the projected job growth went from 16% through 2030 about 2 years ago to about 7% meaning the estimate was overinflated or the demand has shrunk by half. 7% is still good but the fact so many thought it was a sure thing and went into computer science means it’s become much more competitive. The days of graduate from bootcamp and get a cushy job are over in many peoples opinions.

However if you are willing to work harder than others you can still find success, just be aware the entry level might not be viable and you may have to find a way to gain mid level skills to get proper work. You may have luck in your local area but remote work is insanely over Flooded with applicants.

In my case i am a freelancer with 3 years experience having learned almost everything from mosh. I do make decent income but before going fully into freelance i had landed 1 interview in 2 years of applying with over 2000 applications sent in, and this is somewhat extreme but not too uncommon.

Expectations aside if you wanna do it, do it. Most people will fail because they don’t learn the fundamental skills and think AI will carry them when anyone can copy paste without thinking critically. You should definitely look at moshes pathways, i took front end and backend js route. It’s good to know python and java in addition. I’m also currently taking fundamentals of coding at my own pace to supplement problem solving skills a few problems a week.

If you want to find a job niche up i learned wordpress and use react based apps inside of the WP ecosystem to specialize in building forms, quoting tools, and API integrations. Many people think these are great areas: automation, CRM setup and customization, and specialized languages like liquid for shoppify, or sales forces JS based language.

Don’t look at this as gatekeeping cause only you can hold yourself back, some people still find luck and get a job quickly, but if you were told learning for a year is enough, maybe plan on 2 and think about the long haul. Find a side job, or study on the side, commit to college, or some experience that will help you stand out.

(Yes i took like 12 courses from mosh and am still learning nextjs)
