I don’t know why I cannot install the python extension!
In VS Code? Which extension? Pylance is probably the most important these days so if you have that you should be good.

Considering you mentioned ‘extension’ I assume you were talking about VS Code? So maybe you can provide a lot more information like the error report so that we can know what kind of error you came across while installing.

Yes, I’d like to install the python extension in VS Code, but I get an XHR failed message!
This XHR failed message reminds me that I may come across a similar problem that involved XML file processing, I just ignored that error report because I didn’t do anything about XML, and my python script worked just fine, so I didn’t dig more profound at that time. Maybe you should do that too.
