I was under the impression from a video in Part 1 of this two-part series that using Axios or other similar third-party package in a Next.js app would mean the additional features that Next.js adds to the fetch API, such as a caching strategy, would not work, so why introduce Axios in the Handling Form Submission of the Creating Issues section. This seems like inconsistent messaging to a student.
I would think this video would have benefited from some initial discussion about any caveats with using Axios in these API endpoints as an alternative to the modified fetch API that Next.js gives? Am I right in thinking Axios is also only used for this form submission. I’d really like to know the rationale for the need for Axios here?
