Help with IntelliJ

Hi, I have a small issue with IntelliJ. I really enjoy using it, but my free trial just ended. Do you have any suggestions on how I might be able to access a free version?

Thank you for any help!

Hi,
As a .NET developer I am actually a bit envious of Java devs because Jetbrains actually made a free to use version or IntelliJ while there is no free version of Rider/Resharper…

So when you go on the download page of IntelliJ you first see this…

But should you scroll a bit you can see this…

Of course the free version means less features. So if you got used to some features with trial version, you might be dissapointed.
There is amongst others a feature not provided which is running on application servers for instance. At least so I was told by teachers I had.

On my end I found that (if it is true) you can download an extension to use Tomcat for instance. Which is not as rich as JBoss or Glassfish but good enough to learn JSP for instance.

And now on Rider side… there seem to maybe have changed because I might use it free for non commercial use just like Visual Studio. If so : “At last!” but let’s check how it is possible.

But I see there is data collection with which I do not agree too much. Depends what, how often, etc…

Anyway enjoy your free version of IntelliJ
