I recently became aware of the UML standard as a tool for Product and Software Design pre-development. It’s a system also used for business, systems, and data flow architecture. After taking several software development classes at a college, I came to ask, “Why isn’t UML taught first?”. This could save developers lots of headaches and give direction during the full software, product, webpage, or business design. I think your students, like me, will greatly benefit from a course on UML.
