How do High density images on sites like wordpress or shopify?

So in the lesson about high-density images, Mosh shows how we need to resize images and provide different image sizes so that they are correctly displayed on different screens, you know…

We want images to look sharp on iPhone x or on a big TV screen.

That was clear to me, but then I thought about Wordpress or Shopify, do you guys know if these “drag and drop” platforms resize images automatically or is it something we should provide?

Thank you.

WordPress and Shopify usually resize images automatically for different screen sizes, but it’s still best to upload optimized images for better control and performance.

High-density images, like those used on WordPress or Shopify, can make your site look sharp, especially on modern screens. But they can also slow things down if they’re not handled properly. The best way to use them is by optimizing the images first. You can compress them without losing quality using tools like TinyPNG or ImageOptim. Also, it’s a good idea to serve different image sizes based on the visitor’s device. Shopify and WordPress both support responsive images, so the right version loads automatically.
