when i try to install mysqlslient, i am facing this issue. can anyone help me.

I tried following command(on ubuntu):
sudo apt-get install pkg-config

then the:
pipenv install mysqlclient

it worked for me

Hi, i solve the problem in a macbook air m1, following this steps:

  1. Adding mysql to path following this guide (How to add MySQL to the Path in mac OS -):

  2. Downloading brew (running this on terminal: /bin/bash -c “$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/HEAD/install.sh)”)

  3. running this on terminal: brew install pkg-config

  4. running this on terminal: brew install mysql

  5. running this on terminal: pipenv run pip3 install mysqlclient
