Need a hand Unable to Set Password in MySQL

Noob Here…

Was hoping someone could help. I’ve downloaded My SQL Community Server in order to take a SQL training class, but I was never asked to enter a password.

I went from “installation” to the command prompt. I was never taken to the section where i would enter Group Replication, Type and Networking, Authentication Method etc.

I am able to open MySQL workbench. When i try to test connection it fails to connect and prompts me for a password. As i mentioned earlier I was never taken to the screen where i set my password.

I’m missing these during the installation

I had the same issue when installing - just launch MySQL Installer and select Reconfigure on MySQL Server. That should take you to the screen you posted where you can set the password.
