Civil engineer - Expert for Roads. I am currently a Project Team Leader on a large highway project abroad. I finally have time to do what I love besides my regular job. Old school, which taught Fortran, algorithms, numerical methods at university… I wrote my graduation thesis in Borland object Pascal, and the program calculated permanent deformations of asphalt (rutting) using the finite element method (then they had just appeared and were ideal for object-oriented programming). Later, I wrote routines in Lisp for AutoCAD that I needed in the design phase of the project. After that I left it to the younger ones. Now I am in the top phase of my career and I have the opportunity to manage my time, prescribe the rules and create my own team. Since my job is consulting, and the programs that exist for Contractors are robust, complicated with the entry of a huge amount of data (big money is at stake), they are not suitable for what we do. I am here to choose the right tool to write a program suitable for consulting services. I wish you all the best.
