Hi, I’m looking to go into IT at my tender age of 54. Where is the best place to start?. I know a little bit of coding, however, is programming a good place to start?

IT is a wide area, which includes software development.

For web development start learning HTML and CSS. If you have some basic knowledge of HTML and CSS than learn Javascript.
