How does someone brand new to web development, with cpanel servers & domains to work with, simply set-up each folder structure in the cpanel database. What files and folders are needed and what can be deleted (files such as .htaccess, etc & folders such as scripts or css with files in it.)

There are usually documentations that you can access from your hosting provider about this.

1. You can research what .htaccess does and how to manipulate it.
2. You can research where you need to put ‘your folder/files’ (index.htm), etc. Although good documentation for question 1, will probably tell you what you need to do for question 2.
