# MySQL 8.0.15 requirements issue /Error

Hi,

i tried to download the whole package of MySQL, the system asked that i have to install the MySQL for Visual Studio 1.2.8 manually. i downloaded the visual studio 1.2.8, after running the file i had an error that visual studio 2012,2013,2015 or 2017 must be installed. i have no idea what it refers to.  
could someone help me out here. ![my SQL for visual studio

You don’t need “MySQL for Visual Studio” for the course.

I’ve never used it since it doesn’t seem to support the recent version of Visual Studio. Here’s [documentation](https://dev.mysql.com/doc/visual-studio/en/visual-studio-intro.html).
