Hello Every One ,

I am taking the Mastering React course. I am running into a few issues. First of all if I install create-react-app by following this command npm i -g create-react-app@1.5.2 I am getting this error message :

"A template was not provided. This is likely because you’re using an outdated version of create-react-app. "

After I create the app there is no “src” folder created.

But if I run this command: npm i -g create-react-app I have no issue creating react app, and all the source folders are there. However, my app.js file is like this :

import logo from ‘./logo.svg’;

import ‘./App.css’;

function App() {

return (

```
<div className="App">
  <header className="App-header">
    <img src={logo} className="App-logo" alt="logo" />
    <p>
      Edit <code>src/App.js</code> and save to reload.
    </p>
    <a
      className="App-link"
      href="https://reactjs.org"
      target="_blank"
      rel="noopener noreferrer"
    >
      Learn React
    </a>
  </header>
</div>
```

);

}
export default App;

Should I move forward with this or I have to install the correct version first?

Can anyone help ?

Thanks

Hi,
You can move forward without worrying about errors you may get later in the course 🙂

It’s not a real error it’s just telling you that you defined it but never used it in your app.
If you go along with the course, mosh will use ReactDom to get the element.
