Context7 is a third party app, is it safe to use in enterprise applications because the privacy picture is slightly different: documentation lookup queries likely go through Upstash’s servers, not directly to library docs.

Treat Context7 as an external service, not a private documentation lookup. Before using it on enterprise code, check what the MCP client sends, Context7/Upstash’s retention and logging terms, and whether your company permits that data flow. Keep proprietary names, internal package identifiers, code, and customer data out of queries; if policy requires no third-party processing, disable it or use an approved internal documentation source.
